I am enchanted by the world depicted through the viewfinder of a camera. The viewfinder creates a focus, stops the outside world and allows the subject to be seen. I use natural light, shooting mostly in nature or city streets. Expressing a belief that all of life is sacred, the images convey a playful curiosity. They reveal a heart-felt view of the world through color, texture and the abstract.

I explore local neighborhoods and wander the world, pausing to capture the magic of a moment.

Currently I'm working on a new body of work—digital montage. Individual images are blended into a collage without the mess of glue. The montages start with a single photograph and can include up to 50 layers to create the final effect.

The play of light is the underlying feature that sparks and unites these pieces. The simplicity of single images is woven into an enigmatic dreamscape.
